Pinback
Album: Autumn of the Seraphs
Song: From Nothing to Nowhere
This is the 4th full-length from the San Diego band... I just jumped on the bandwagon, but its never too late to discover good music. Very tight and bright production with tons of layers and textures. Kind of reminds me of something that would have come out of Seattle ala Sunny Day Real Estate

Biffy Clyro
Album: Puzzle
Song: Living is a Problem Because Everything Dies
Scottish 3 piece that combines all the elements of my favorite alternative rock bands... think Dave Grohl vocals over a Queens of the Stone Age chord progression and the occasional Strokes drum and bass riff... mmm... (in the voice of Homer Simpson)

Band Of Horses
Album: Cease to Begin
Song: Ode to LRC
Maybe a bit more of a country tinge than their debut, but still that great wall of guitars sound along with a one-of-a-kind vocal swimming in reverb. Bunch of great songs on this newalbum.

The Editors
Album: An End Has a Start
Song: Smokers Outside The Hospital Doors
Got to see these guys at Chop Suey not long ago (on the same stage as Biffy Clyro) and they sounded amazing. A very unique vocal style goes a long way with good song writing and these guys have it both. "Smokers" is definitely my favorite track.

Stevie Wonder
Album: Songs In The Key of Life
Song: Sir Duke
I had to think of at least one weird/old one... This song is a classic that may or may not appear in a bad commercial on TV now and again... sounds best cranked up loud on a really good stereo. Puts me in a good mood everytime... guaranteed.
