Virgin America now flies to Seattle. And to celebrate, we’re helping them find Seattle’s best band. All you have to do is send in an MP3 of your band, along with a band photo and tiny little band biography. We’ll cull down the hundreds upon hundreds of songs to find the top ten. Then our listeners will get a chance to vote, and the top two bands will battle it out at the big Land The Gig party, featuring Bamboo Shoots, at Showbox at the Market. There, you could perform in front of celebrity judges for the grand prize: your band’s performance shown on all Virgin America flights, plus invaluable exposure on The End. Ready to Land The Gig? The Grand Prize for the "Land The Gig" Performance contest is a professionally produced music video of the winners live performance at the final event on April 8th at The Showbox Market. Winning band will also receive 5 DVD copies of this video an they will be featured on at least one Virgin America flight between May 1, 2008 and December 31, 2008. Valued at $5,000. The prizes for the "Land The Gig" voting contest. Ten randomly selected voters that vote for their favorite band in th Performance Contest will be awarded a pair of tickets to the final event on April 8, 2008. From these 10 winners one Grand Prize will randomly be awarded and that included airfare, hotel and ground transportation from Virgin Airlines to the winners choice of Seattle to San Francisco or Los Angeles. Winner will fly with a guest aboard Virgin America Airlines. Runner up prizes valued at $250 Grand Prize valued at $1750 All entrants and voters must be 21 years of age to enter.
